A Note about Breathing

The Bridge operates as a smoke-free and perfume-free environment. One of our Directors and many of our clients have respiratory allergies, or severe sensitivities to perfume, cologne, after-shave and other scented products. Please be mindful of this when you attend at the Bridge, and refrain from wearing any scented products to your session.

Inhalation of the petrochemical compounds in scented products including ALL perfumes, aftershaves and colognes can cause severe health emergencies to asthmatic and allergic clients, even in small amounts.

As well, we see a significant number of pregnant women and new mothers; recent research has shown that the chemical compounds in all perfumes can cause reproductive abnormalities in unborn and newborn males when inhaled by the mother. Because modern scented products are petrochemically based, even the most expensive modern perfume no longer degrades over time. Although you may have not applied it on the day, your clothing can still carry significant amounts of harmful petrochemicals.

Unfortunately, if you are wearing perfumed products, you may not be able to stay, but will need to reschedule your appointment.
